Why Oakland supports gun control

Obviously gun laws (and traffic laws, public assembly laws, and assaulting an officer laws) are selective enforced in Oakland. Some groups are given a pass, and some groups (like us) are held to every letter of the law.

I am sure that if there were any gun violations at an NRA meeting, or a Tea Party rally, there would be a swift and unsparing law enforcement response. If a group tried to shut down a freeway for a Tea Party rally, the list of charges would go on for pages. But some other groups in Oakland are not under any such scrutiny, apparently.

Because policies like gun-control punishing the average law-abiding citizen,
works so well against the criminals depicted in the video.

Can you imagine any of this happening in Kennesaw, Georgia ?

A 2001 media report stated that Kennesaw's crime rates continued to decline and were well below the national average, making citizens feel safer and more secure.[21] Later research stated that there is no evidence that [the law] reduced the rate of home burglaries [in Kennesaw],[22][23] The city's website says that the city has the lowest crime rate in Cobb county.[24]
