    Pistol Restoration Question

I am considering purchasing a Walther PPK/S that is pretty thrashed on the outside with most of the bluing worn and faded. Supposedly all of the components work though I have not yet seen it in person. My question is, does anybody have experience restoring a pistol like the ppk and about how much should I expect to spend? Can it even be done?

I would go with a cerakote finish. Can easily be done. Disassemble all the components, media blast and degrease, cerakote. A cerakote applicator will probably charge around $150-200 I would guess

Is it German or US or a clone? The value changes quickly and unless you don't care, figure that out first. If it is German and older (is better), unless it is in "used as a hammer" condition, I think a premium restore job would be in order.

      Good Luck,
