    Magazine storage rack

Like a lot of members, I have several magazines for each pistol/rifle. Since I dont like cluttering the safe with a bunch of mags, I keep one mag with each rifle/pistol in the safe and the rest are in a large plastic bin. And when Im going to the field, I just grab the bin and off I go.

Lately Ive been trying to think of a way to display the mags outside of the safe or plastic bins. I want to store them in a clean, organized and easily accessible way. Maybe something mounted to the wall next to the safe. I came across this video and I like the idea but it looks way too complicated for me to pull off. So Im turning to you guys...... Has anyone done anything similar to the vid. Any ideas would be appreciated.

In my hood an open display is out of the question. Too much dirt & dust in addition to the obvious.

I keep my mags in labeled plastic freezer bags inside a plastic tool box.

Gotta remember to read the bags though. Got to the range one time & had grabbed a bag of 22/45 mags instead of the wife's Mosquito mags.
    She was not amused.

No way am I displaying my mags. For multiple reasons. Have a separate smaller safe I stuff them all into.

I have a small filing cabinet with some akro bins (from dillon 550) in the drawers to hold mags and small parts. My AR rifle bag has 5 pockets on the side for my long mags, and the 10 round mags go in a larger pocket on the bag. My range bag is big and will hold 6 double stack mags in individual mag pockets and the other two pockets will hold 4 mags for the ruger Mk Hunter. My other pistol is a big revolver, so no mags.

I have been using the yellow tool bags from harbor freight for my ammo and mags as well. I reload most of my ammo and sometimes have multiple loads and a number of boxes for each gun. The ammo can go in the bottom of the bag and the inside pockets will hold some mags. I can grab three of those bags and have all the ammo I could need and the mags, and then I need my range bag and rifle bags.

If you found some inexpensive generic mag pouches, you could attach them to a board or wall. You could even use nylon or leather strap, or maybe old belts, to string up the pouches. Velcroe may also be an option. Magnets could be used as well. I made a mag holder for my 22 mags out of plexiglass and set very strong magnet in it. It clips to my belt and the mags slide right off when I pull up on them. They hold very tight if you try to pull off vs. slide the mags.

I'm also looking for a way to organize my mags, however, inside the safe. At this time they are just placed neatly along the dedicated top shelf but with around 60 mags (all types) it gets annoying trying to grab something from the back.

Yeah, I'm in the same boat.

I've been thinking about hanging one of these inside my safe and putting my most used mags in them. Looks like something like this would be reasonably inexpensive and easy to install to the inside of the safe door without too much work.

Yup. Hanging shoe rack works pretty damn good.

Ran down to wally world and picked this little baby up for 13 bucks plus tax. Was able to fit all these in there:

                8 1911 mags
                6 G21 mags
                6 USP 45 mags
                10 P220 mags
                20 AR15 mags
                16 AK mags
                8 AR10 mags
                8 FAL mags
                14 M1A mags

Maybe not all my mags, but enough to where I don't have to go into my tubs that are up on the rack in my garage.
