    Bringing down Botach Tactical HELP!

So you never really look up the rep of a company until *AFTER* you order.

After being ignored, lied to and all out snubbed by Botach Tactical I have decided it's time to do something about it and stop their reign of rip-offs.

www.botac.com / www.BotachTactical.com as most of you know is a web store that seems to be widely known for horrible customer service and frequent fraud.

What I didn't know... Botach Tactical is a Yahoo! store.

What you may not have known... I am employed at Yahoo! After being beat for a lowly $60 from this store, I decided to do some research and found out that I am not the only one.

EDIT: After speaking with BK (the owner) from Botach he said that he always personally calls people that approach his store with complaints. He called me so I can't say this or is not untrue. In addition he fixed my order and gave me a discount for having to run through the hoops.

It took quite a bit but I can't say they didn't work to fix it.

Thats wierd, I've never had a problem with them before. Usually they've been really nice to me, especially Allen. They are actually located on Crenshaw and like 224 street in an old pawn shop in the "hood" of Los Angeles. One thing for certain, lots of LEO shop there, there the only ones they allow through their doors. I'm serious they help a lot of us out when others shut the door in your face, especially when it comes to tactical items.

I actually went to their location in Crenshaw about a couple of years ago. I had to buy items like boots and 511 pants where you might not get your exact size if you buy online, so I figured I'll buy in person. It took me a while to find the place, I rang the bell and this young lady opens it a tad bit. She was basically relaying what an unseen person (owner/manager?) inside was saying: "No law enforcement badge, no entry". So a customer who drives 45 minutes looking for the place, and wants to spend money at the store get a slammed door in his face. I have never bought anything from them since, and do not encourage others to.

Any business that will treat our servants with velvet gloves, but slam doors at their masters do not deserve the 2nd Amendment folks' business.

Let's encourage the businesses that really care about us, and not the ones who are in it ONLY for the money.

A Google search on "complaints Botach" will give page after page of hits.

              On a sidenot:

When we buy items which are firearm related, there are 2 kinds of people we are dealing with, people who are in business to make money AND believe in our cause, and people who are ONLY in it to make money. This second group of people would change their careers in a heartbeat if things got too hot for them. Please do not mis-understand me. I do believe it is their to do so, but it is also our obligation, as people who believe in the 2nd A, to only patronize the merchants who believe like we do, i.e. Barrett.

When the .50 Cal ban was enacted in California, a manufacturer somewhere in the South was HAPPY about it, because he sold in one month to Californians, what he usually moves in a whole year, whereas Barrett took a big financial risk by boycotting the powers to be in California. Now which one of these 2 do you think we have a moral obligation to buy from? If I am in the market for a large caliber rifle, I would even pay a $1,000 more to buy a Barrett rifle than from the other guy. If I can't afford it, I'd put it off by one more year just to get that extra money.

Ever since the off-list lowers came about, I have made a note never again to buy anything from a gun store that refused to sell or DROS them. For me this issue separated the men from the boys.

Gun owners in California number about 5 million. Collectivelly (I hate that word) we are a potent political and economic force. Let us start uniting and start using our muscles to support or boycott businesses.

Heres something your probably not aware of. Botach is also a class III dealer. This means they have full auto SMG's, Colt M-4's, Galils, high cap mags and pistols inside their store and I will not put them in a precarious position by telling you more but for obvious reasons, they distance the populace from these type of weapons. Remember how bad of an area their in?.......the young lady opening the door for you...etc. I've been inside several times and I understand why they have that policy. If you think their policy is harsh, try calling Ardvark tactical in Irwindale and see how fast they hang up on you when you say your buying something other than a flashlight and are non LEO. Another thing is Botach does millions of dollars of contract work, I recall the city of Santa Monica recently purchasing over a thousand PASGT helmets and they pretty much are the largest supplier to entry teams in our state as well as others. They are hardcore and the fact they even deal with "the little guy" should make us content. My advice is if you need something from Botach, the best thing to do is order online if you see that feature on the page, be patient, sometimes their items are shipped from another supplier and can take over 30 days. Believe me I know. Good luck.

If it takes 30 days, and they only serve LEO in their store, then just buy from somewhere else.

I don't care if they sell tanks... it's no excuse for ZERO contact and horrible customer service.

They should be happy I only have pull at Yahoo! and not with CA as if I did, Cali would be looking for a new vendor as well.

I know B.K. Botach and he isn't too keen on non LEO's calling in orders but whatever works. Cheers.

I was talking about why they don't allow non LEO walk-ins, not customer service.

I wouldn't care if they have canons and what not in there , there is NO excuse for poor customer service and slamming a door in a customers face . Excusing it by their geographic location also doesn't fly because if they would value their customer just a bit more they would MOVE .
We are lucky here in Norcal we have a Gall store , and if you have to buy some 5.11's and need some adjustments done to them it will take em all of 20 minutes to do that . If the item is not in stock they will order it for you right away and call you as soon as it has arrived . Now THAT is a store you can support .
