    Shipping question

Not sure if this is the right place for this, but I want to get some information on the shipping handgun ammo, rifle ammo, and Curio & Relics. I remember someone posting a link to the law itself on the shipping of ammo but I had trouble understanding that dry reading.

I ask this because I vaguely remember reading here about a new law that restricts the shipping of ammo. I went and talked to my usual shooting range and they said that yeah ammo can't be shipped to your home, while another range clarified that it's only pistol ammo that's restricted while rifle ammo is okay.

Another question is about the shipping of C&R long arms directly to your door I see some people saying they can ship to your door, while others require a C&R license.

In short, what is the legalities of shipping ammo(rifle, pistol, or shotgun) or C&R longarms(rifles, or shotguns) into LA County.

To get a C&R rifle shipped to your door, you must have a C&R license. I don't live in LA County, so I still get ammo shipped to my door; however I believe LA along with a few other cities do indeed have restrictions on ammo being sent to a private person. I know someone will step in here and explain it better than I did.

I have shipped ammo through UPS with packaged stamped ORMD.
You have to point out their own regulations to the counter person.
They have the regs binder right there.
