    Are you a gun addict?

Since my first gun purchase in less than a year I have purchased 9 guns. I now believe that I am an gun addict. Heres a few of the symptoms of a gun addict.

1.When You start saving money by skipping meals to fund gun purchases.

    2. When you go to the range you have trouble deciding which guns to take that can fit in your car.

    3. When your friends and family ask how many guns you have and you lie, so they dont think your some crazed gunmen.

    4. When you wake up in cold sweats dreaming that someone bought "the one of a kind gun" that you saw the day before.

    5. When you start to think about where you could put the new gun safe because your old one only holds 20.

    6. When you come on calguns.net 5 times a day to check if any of your guns have been listed by the DOJ.

    7. Your significant other's birthday present is a gun that you wanted yourself.

If you got anymore go ahead and ad.

Yeah my wife is sooooo happy

I have a problem thats for sure. I ALWAYS lie when people ask how many guns I have. If I don't they think I'm crazy or something. If I do tell how many I have I always get.... "why do you need more then one? Its not like you can shot all of them at the same time." If I have to explain, you will never understand. Am I right or what?

Man, I bought my first gun, an M44 for $75 from Big 5, when I turned 19. I turned 21 last month, and now I'm up to ten My dad told me to stop. My mom's not even aware how many I have. My girlfriend's birthday gift will probably be an EAA Witness I wanted hahaha

I have bought twenty two (22) guns since my first purchase in April/May of 2005.

I decided I wanted pistol so I did my reseach and ended up buying a Wilson Combat CQB (1). Well every good pistol needs rifle to match so I went out and bought an M1A about a Month later (2). Well shooting tons of .45 was starting to get expensive so I shopped around and bought a .22 a Sig/Hammerli Trailside. (3) While I was at the gun store I found out they were having a special on Sig 226's; well I couldn't resist and I ened up with a 226 with night sites the next month (4). I borrowed a relatives python and decided I wanted a revolver. I couldn't find a python I liked in the PRC so I bought a Smith and Wesson 627 (5). Well I found that I really liked .45's so decided to buy another one. This time it was Springfield Armory Pro (6). While I was waiting for the Pro to come in I saw a Smith and Wesson 29 in presentation case in the store on consignment; this gun was flawless. After pondering it for few days I went in and bought it (7). My M1A just wasn't accurate enough for me so I decided I need a bolt action rifle; I ordered a remington 700 (8) while I was in the ordering that remington one of the guys at the store was selling a .458 Win Mag rifle with about 100 rounds. I wanted something that could take out anything that walked and being the sucker I am you can guess what happened (9). I like single action guns and always liked the idea of a Hi-Power and one came in from some old guy at a good price; a little bit of wear, but for an original Belgian with a kick *** trigger how could I refuse it as a shooter. (10) Well things were slow at the office and my old boss didn't care if I surfed the net looking at guns so I decided to buy a K31 Schmidt Rubin; hell since they were so cheap and heard such great things about them I bought two (11) (12). Shortly after that I became a member at the gun club and now I could shoot shotgun at a good price. Needing a shotgun I bought a nice used SKB over under (13). I remember I liked my M1A and a 1911 isn't really period correct for a M1A so hello M1 Garrand (14). I had developed a soft spot for Smith and Wesson revolvers especially ones in larger calibers; as a general rule I won't buy any revolver under a .357 mag if I'm going to give up capacity then I'd better have something like a big bullet to show for it and so when a 629 3" came in I couldn't resist (15). Same thing happened with a original model 19 (16). Twenty two rifles end up being interesting and cheap to shoot (17). I needed a compact and a Sig 229 just happened to come in on consignment (18). Want to Play gunsmith? So did I; Springfield GI 45 (19) I'm not messing with a 1911 that's already done right. Live in a bad neighborhood? My Friend Mr. Mossberg will tell you you've walked into the wrong house (20). My grandfather killed Japanese, someone else's killed Germans and brought something back because of it; Walther p38 (21). I know I'm missing at least one gun (so my database says; I'm just to lazy to look it up) but there you have it my story. And coming soon to a gunstore near you another purchase!!!

1.When You start saving money by skipping meals to fund gun purchases.
I don't skip meals, I just eat at cheaper places

                2. When you go to the range you have trouble deciding which guns to take that can fit in your car.
I can't even fit all my stuff in my car

                3. When your friends and family ask how many guns you have and you lie, so they dont think your some crazed gunmen.
                I say "A few"

                4. When you wake up in cold sweats dreaming that someone bought "the one of a kind gun" that you saw the day before.
Usually doesn't happen if I want it bad enough; I usually snap up stuff quick if it's old or impossible to get in Kalifornia

                5. When you start to think about where you could put the new gun safe because your old one only holds 20.
Just means no more rifles; a 20 gun safe can hold like 50-100 pistols in addition to the rifles

                6. When you come on calguns.net 5 times a day to check if any of your guns have been listed by the DOJ.
                yeah...

                7. Your significant other's birthday present is a gun that you wanted yourself.
I buy guns the way women buy shoes; so now you know why I'll always be single

And a few of my own....

                  2. When you go to the range you have trouble deciding which guns to take that can fit in your car.
Or when you consider getting a truck just to get your guns to the range

I dont lie, cause my friends are also gun nuts

Actually, for me its fitting as many rifles as possible into cases

Please, thats how much amatures do it. We professionals check atleast 3 times that much

no 30 day cycle, but they have my range days circled in red, with the ammo delivery that morning

                  9. When a you gunstore refuses to sell you anymore guns until you buy a safe
                  not yet, thank god

10.When you do phone interviews at the gun range
nah, but whenever people call me, I seem to be at the range, wierd how that works

11.When the you have weekly "appontment" at the gun range
                  Yes, its called wednesday

                  12.When ammunition is monthly expense
                  If not more often

13.When the guy at the Walmart ammo counter stops asking why you are buying so much ammunition
Not yet, but I am getting there
I'm not a gun addict, I can quit any time I want (but damn, I want a .308 AR

how about if you buy the wrong ammo, instead of selling or returning it you just go buy a gun that can use it.

eh, there is so much to read here I just keep my mouth shut and search, which takes hours jsut to decide which one i REALLY want.

                        7. Your significant other's birthday present is a gun that you wanted yourself.

don't have a wife yet, thank God. Buy my girlfirend is envy of the number of guns I have now.

                        8. When your on a first name basis at the gunstore and they have a calender marking your 30 days cycles

the guy at my local shop started giving my free ammo with every purchase becasue they know I'll be back in 30 days.

11.When the you have weekly "appontment" at the gun range

                        working on it

                        yep

13.When the guy at the Walmart ammo counter stops asking why you are buying so much ammunition

don't go to walmart and never will

                        and my own:

14: you keep buying ammo because you kept fearing serialization of ammo coming anyday now.

I lost count of how many rounds of 45 I have ordered in the last month. I think over 2000 but need to check the inventory.

15: you keep cruising Gunsamerica just to curse at how much we are getting ripped off in KA.

16: When you tried for years to establish residency in Kern or Humbolt county for CCW.

17: your number of loaded hidden away guns outnumber the number of rooms in your house.

18: when you hear the "1911 Fur Seal Treaty" you think "hot damn, they used to hunt fur seals with 45s?"

19: you discriminate gun purchase by its country of origin.

20: your local Big5 long gun department tells you of their latest deals every time you go in there for a brick of 22 and try to get you to buy another one.

21: when your guns outweigh you whenever you go to the range.

                          nope

17: your number of loaded hidden away guns outnumber the number of rooms in your house.

not in that kind of area

18: when you hear the "1911 Fur Seal Treaty" you think "hot damn, they used to hunt fur seals with 45s?"

                          ?

19: you discriminate gun purchase by its country of origin.

                          yep

20: your local Big5 long gun department tells you of their latest deals every time you go in there for a brick of 22 and try to get you to buy another one.

My local big five still remembers the one time 2K purchase I made (NRA grant for the local 4-H club)

                            I wish Costco sold guns.

                            36 pack Diet Pepsi - $4.36

                            24 pack Ball Park franks - $6.88

                            6 pack of lowers - $400 w/ coupon

As far as being addicted, I told my girlfriend the other night that I had a problem. I said after I payoff my Visa I'm done! I am going to get rid of my card and wait until I get a higher paying job were I can afford a $900 gun bill every month. Unfortunately I'm on the net the whole night at work and can't stop looking at guns.

I also have magazines and ammo for guns I don't even own but I figure I will eventually get them.
