Is Front Sight just giving away memberships now?

I just received an email from Front Sight offering 5 memberships for $4900.00 in a promotion to recruit members. I was there this May and a single membership cost that much. The only catch is that you have to give one of the memberships to The head of a house of worship. Thats still about 1200.00 per person if 4 people wanted to get in on a group buy. I know there is a lot of negative talk about the founder of Front Sight, but I am not interested in their politics, just the training. What do you guys think about this? Here's a link to the promotion. http://www.frontsight.com/20.asp

It sounds like a novel marketing campaign to me, but that doesn't mean it's a bad deal. If you don't happen to be affiliated with a church, you can start your own - visit http://www.ulchq.com/ to become ordained. Ordination is free but I recommend paying extra to get the nice certificate.

If you do decide to start your own church please let me know, I would be happy to help you come up with an interesting theology. Since we like firearms, I think fire worship would be a good starting point.

If I lived close I would do it in a heart beat. The price makes no difference because the cost of getting there is too much.

I guess if someone here was already a pastor and wanted to be the one who got their membership donated.(and didn't mind splitting the cost) The total would be 980.00 per person. Any takers?

I don't know. I think Piazza is getting a little desperate. I went to FrontSight for a 4-Day Defensive Pistol class back in February and I had a blast. I almost bought the Bronze membership with another free matching Bronze Membership for $4900. But I think I'm now kind of glad I didn't.

Frontsight has been doing these kind of promotions for many years, they also
offered free training for teachers and pilots, also some free or discounted
memberships for members of the Armed Forces.

Check the level of those memberships.
I am a first family on the legacy program. I paid $2500.00 or just about for complete access to all courses just about. I know my buddy and I could become the Lord High Masters of handguns if we were able to take all the course work and pass it all. In other words, we could take any and all handgun related. But nothing above the 4 day in tactical shotgun or rifle. No advanced courses in these for our type of membership.

The best we both feel have been Subgun and M16. Tactical Rfile would be next.
We brought equipment for sub and M16. No stinkin UZI, or FS M16 open sights.
BTW, super easy to DG with your equipment in those two classes.
                (Friend is Class III manufacture)

Anyways, (7) 4 day classes for me that have been attended.. I think Front Sight is excellent and quite professional.
Get some buddies and join up. We normally go as a group.

Check those certs. for what coursework you can attend.
