    Ar firing two three rounds

Last time I went to shoot my rifle started double triple taps....I took it down put it back in the case and shot others.
So I took it apart today....all the way pulling the trigger assy out. Broken disconnector spring in half. The top half went some where.
    Any ideas why ?

I have the same problem with ALG trigger, if I release the trigger slowly after it has ben reseted the hammer will fall, it could be that's missing a few mills of material and highly polish from the factory.

Usually the disconnector spring is the culprit.

Anyone else experience this? I'm curious because I cannot confirm nor deny that the same issue may or may not have happened to a "friend of a friends" rifle before, totally not talking about one of my AR's

It happens often with people that assemble their rifles incorrectly and sometimes from bad parts or broken parts. The problem is that (besides being illegal) its very unsafe for your rifle to fire via hammer following the bolt. You can get an out of battery detonation that will blow up your gun and possibly injure you. There is a reason real full auto m-16's/m4's have an auto sear to control the timing of the hammer release.

I just finish fixing my trigger, it was a combination of sear spring being too short and missing material from hammer hook, my guess is since it was a trigger from ALG they change the angle of the trigger sear and hammer hook, the sear spring was short by 1 1/2 coils. I dropped in a DPMS hammer and sear spring "problem solved"

Well, it's not illegal unless you keep shooting it that way. As long as you take it out of service and repair it, life is good. Anything mechanical can and will fail.

There was a video on YouTube of a Vet who was shooting his AR at some range on the east coast. His rifle malfunctioned and shot multiple rounds. He was arrested and charged with a felony. Guns taken away. Life ruined.
                            Very sad.
