    Guns you most regret selling/trading

We've all done it...sold/traded/or somehow parted with a firearm and now we regret it.

    What are yours?

Mine ~ Colt King Cobra (my very first gun ) and a Romanian SKS.

I went through a divorce about 6-7 years ago and had to get rid of some of the guns for financial reasons.

      Among other items, I sold off a Colt AR-15, a Sig-Sauer P229, a Springfield 1911, and a Benelli M1. I'm so kicking myself right now.

HK91A3 Didn't wanna deal w/reg issues and AW restrictions - and given I bought it for $475 in 1986 & sold it for $1950 in 1995 the money looked good. Didn't think CA would continue its AW nonsense - boy was I wrong!

Bought & sold these in binges of gun trading to help fund other guns.

                I hear you.

I am not only kicking myself for selling my HK91A3, I shoulda bought 10 HK SP89s. I could've gotten them for $795 before AW craziness set in.

Mossberg 500 persuader. Got it for $100 in unfired condition, traded it for a springer 1911.

After I traded, found that I'd never get one in that condition for that price ever again...doh!

                      Colt SP-1
Are those Sp-1's worth any money nowadays if its in good condition in an AW friendly state?

Back in '85 I had a REAL FN HB. Not one of those SA Inc Isreali jobs. I traded it off for my HK-91 and my HK94 in '87.. Which I then sold the 94 in '88 I miss the FN the most.....

Haven't sold any guns (yet), but I do have a purchase regret or two. One is a sporterized Springfield 03'A3. It has a horrible stock on it, even after putting a 1 1/2" recoild pad on the gun it still bruises me after 3 shots. Shoot's well enough I guess, but it's not fun to shoot.

                              Regret selling...

my Robinson Armament M96 carbine. The good news is that I sold it to a fellow CalGuns member. The fundage is helping me fund my BMG project (Viper, baby!) Oh, yeah!
