Need help determining price for this gun.

I have a Colt 1903 Hammerless .32 Auto. It was given to me by my Step-father and his dad gave it to him. I really don’t have a need for it. I’d like to sell it and get A decent revolver. It also comes with two clips.

Anyhow, can someone help me in trying to figure out what I should sell it for? I hear I should sell the clips separately, that it cost more with the Patented on, blau, blau. I hear $200- $600, even $800. I have no idea.

Any help would be great. Oh and it does fire.

Well... personally I'd keep it as a irreplaceable piece if family history, but that's your call.

I'd check GunBroker.com, Armslist.com, GunsAmerica.com, etc to see what the same pistol in similar condition is selling for.

Note that for the auction sites, what the seller has as his reserve price or starting at amount, doesn't mead squat unless someone is willing to pay that price - see what the pistols are actually *selling* for.

That should give you some idea of what it's worth.

Click the link - - here is one in a retail shop for $600.00. I have seen them go between 400-700, depending on condition. Keep the magazines with the gun. Never sell them separately.

Thanks for the info. It is hard to go off of gunbroker and the sort. I tried doing this the other day. I find prices range because of the S/N and some are Military issued. I'll keep looking.

that one has some finish issues, I would list it at $600 and take any offer close to it.

Just wondering, being it was given to me from my father-in-law and I have no paper work for it. Can I still sell it or do I have to take it somewhere and register it? Should I start a new thread for this type of question.

how many rounds do the magazines hold? if, it's more than 10 you couldn't include them with the sell in California anyway...out of state would be different

Did your step-dad have any other family members that might be interested in buying the pistol from you? Sad to see a pistol that was passed down two generations sold outside of the family.

I believe they hold 8 rounds.

Have you sold it yet? I would be very interested in it if it's still available.
