I had a good experience with Kentucky Gun Company that I want to share. Early last week, I bought a CZ 452 military training rifle, a now discontinued model. My thought was that it's better to get the 452 with a fixed barrel rather than the 455 designed for interchangeable barrels. Do interchangeable barrels account for some difference in accuracy? If so, it's not like I'd ever be able to tell. Both models will shoot better than I do. Truth be told, cost was the major factor in my decision. I liked the $339.89 price on the 452.
At first though, I had concerns about Kentucky Gun Co. I read a few negative reviews online about shipping delays. So I called the company and spoke with Amanda about shipping times. She explained that they are a small company with 20-some employees and have been expanding. This expansion caused logistical problems and delays at one point, but she assured me that they are past that hurdle.
I liked talking with Amanda. She seemed very knowledgeable and there was no pressure to buy anything. And since their prices are reasonable, I decided to make a purchase over the phone. Along with the rifle, I bought an extra magazine. Amanda arranged to have it shipped with my rifle so I wouldn't be hit by extra costs.
Then, half an hour later, Amanda calls me to say that she spoke with her boss about my concerns. As a result, they decided to ship my rifle that very day, just hours after I ordered it. It gets better though. They also called my FFL, which wasn't on file, and took care of relaying all the information.
I saw the rifle last week and it looks gorgeous. I'll post pictures after the ten day wait ends. Meantime, I recommend Kentucky Gun Company without reservation. I know that even if something were to go wrong, they would take action to fix the problem. They're friendly and professional.
I also noticed that they have several different Sig 1911 models in stock. They might honor the Sig buy-one-get-one-free offer;--one .45 and one .22. It's worth asking. As for the CZ 452 that I ordered, they have about 2 dozen left in stock as of early last week. Here's a link to the page. Pay by check or money order, you can save a little more: http://www.kygunco.com/cz-452-specia...fle-22lr-43760
