      C&R guns are ok.

Hand guns would provide a special type of problem.

But long guns are not registered and would not throw up any flags....

I don't know about the specific legalities of it.

          Thanks,Stan
Yes, you can. I have sold 2 guns for my brothers, both handguns, one of them to a member of this board. They ask for the seller identification and as long as it is not stolen you are fine.

I think they could be shipped to an FFL in your friends name, but then it would not be a PPT

I would suggest power of attorney, or at the VERY least a written document with his ORIGINAL signature in ink authorizing you to sell the firearms acting as his agent. If you want to go one step further towards safe, have the document counter-signed by his wife if he has one, or a parent w/ sworn affidavit stating that they have spoke with their son and his wishes are properly reflected by the document. Letterhead from his duty station/command would be ideal.

Hey, if you have somehow met my wife while I'm deployed, I don't care what she says, it IS NOT okay to sell off all my guns. She'll just blow it on purses!
