I think facebook might not like it, but if you were to post on your facebook to your friends that you are selling a gun is that illegal...in CA? of course youd probably meet at a legit ffl to complete the transaction.

Individual website policy aside, there is no law barring you from advertising firearms sales on a website. You would still need to go through an FFL for the transfer.

Yep, it's protected under free speech. (The hosting website is a different story, but you couldn't be prosecuted by government for it as long as you complied with local laws).

People sell guns on craigslist.

They get their ads deleted - but some still get through. There used to be a long running thread here of all the guns posted on craigslist.

Several of the LGS that I do business with have FB pages and advertise guns for sale doesn't seem to be an issue for them or FB.

If you can sell guns via card board sign on your backpack at gun shows you can sell on FB lol
