    San Diego Firearms Training Center

They opened yesterday in Poway. A 10 lane indoor range on Gregg St just west of Costco. My friend Paul went and checked it out yesterday and raved about it. I went to check it out this evening and WOW!! Beautiful facility and the people treated me like a king. Gave me the complete tour. Really Great people!! I signed up a membership. I'm member #4. Now I can shoot free all year with head of the line privileges and discounts on everything.

Gotta go check this place out. Living in Ramona, now I have a closer place to shoot than P2K. If you Google them they have a website. Retail store isn't quite set up yet but they do have their FFL in place.

They want $500 for a yearly membership. That's a bit steep for a 10 lane range that's not limited by the hour.

Also, you don't get front of the line privileges weekdays 11:30-1:30.

I'll stick to iron sights until they become competitive price wise.

Your gas to Iron Sights will quickly dissolve the membership fee. At least for those of us living out East. It comes out to $41 and change per month. If you shoot more than 2.3 days per month, it will start working out in your favor, not including any ammo discount or whatever else they are offering.

I'm retired Army so it is $395.

Iron sights is too far for me to drive. They didn't mention any restrictions on privileges.

not really free if you're paying $400.

PS, they get to keep your brass

Discount is $250 with front of the line privileges at all times, they allow you to draw from the holster (after review and approval by RSO) and you can pick up your own brass.

Plus they have two range locations (Morena and Santee).

Gas savings & time is worth it plus I shoot revolvers so I keep my brass.

If you don't want to go I don't care. Some people may want to check it out.

$495 is just the intro price for the membership. After the intro it jumps to $595.

Like I mentioned, I'm retired military so I get a discount. Other discounts for LEO and others.

Do they have a "let me keep my own brass" discount?

                      Ouch...

I'll stick to shooting bow and arrow in my garage til the fukushima zombie apocalypse hits, then I don't have to worry about astronomical range fees or memberships.

If you could keep your brass that would help pay for the gas to Iron Sites?

The liberal see's the glass as half full and tries to take more.
The conservative see's glass as half empty and tries to keep it that way.
I'm with the people on the side just pouring water in the glass trying to get a drink!

Yes, it would, but it's the thought that they would lay claim to something that doesn't belong to them that I find particularly offensive.
