    Found an Old Friend!

I first bought this Springfield Armory Mil Spec Operator Full Rail 1911 (a mouth full!) brand new from LAPRAC in 2002 for on-duty carry - did a few upgrades. Later went on with other handguns and traded it for my buddy's XDM .40 5" Tactical in 2008/9.

Recently, I regretted my decision and really missed it. So, I called my buddy who had traded it with his co-worker, and who later sold it to another co-worker. Make a long story short, I got it back Monday with some cash and .223 ammo. It's like an having an old friend back that we should have never parted. Already spending on magazines, holsters, springs, grips....

Here my ol' pal...via android cell (empty magazine - empty chamber):

Didn't realize it's so rare nowadays. I think SA stop making this model in 2002 or 2003...

That is one of the pistols that I wish they would start making again.

I hate the target sights on my full rail TRP.

You going to name her YO-YO? The real question is? You don't do that with the ladies in your life

Lucky you! That's a bunch of transfers but at least it stayed in the same house.

Thanks guys, it's more YOLO than YO-YO! I'm ordering a Kimber spring kit for replacement and some other stuff. The only place I've been to is Bolsa Gunsmithing in Westminsger. Any other recommendations? Plan to go to the range really soon.

It's always good to see family jewels return to their rightful place. I have a few 1911s that I literally consider treasures along with all the fancy rocks, watches and heirlooms.
