Anyone else attend Gunslingers auction yesterday?

Some of the prices people paid were WAY high:
$125 for a stripped AR receiver
    $175 for a 91/30
    $225 for a Highpoint 9mm
    Glock 17 no mags $425

These were before the 15% buyers premium was added, $35 transfer fee and tax.

I picked up a nice 22lr for $80 and a FAL for $550. I lost on two C96 mausers, Delta Elite and other items I went for. Overall a good auction though.

I have been to these auctions in the past. People pay too much for the cheaper guns and not enough for the more expensive ones.

You got a FAL for $550? Sounds like you made out like a bandit!

You must go at least once. Just for the experience.
I have been 2 or 3 times, never bought anything.
I enjoy looking at the oddball stuff and watching guys get excited over paying too much for junk.

Missing trigger guard and pistol grip. My guess it was an out of state gun and they removed those to make it ok to sale in CA.

So I spent $28 ordering those parts today

that would be fun. i've been to their shop on arrow highway in glendora a few times. i picked up some Winchester Silvertip .380 for my w german P230SL (old P230s love Silvertips). the ammo must have been there forever, and i was charged the $13.95 that was on the old sticker attached to the box of 50; this was about 3 or 4 years ago. i bought both of the boxes they had. they had lots of handguns on hand that were going to the auction.

Missed it yesterday...had it on my calender, but wife had other plans. Some very interesting characters attend sometimes.

I think they usually try to have auctions 2-3 times a year.

I've seen things sometimes go surprisingly low, and others that (IMHO) bidded way too much for the items.

What is this Gunslingers Auction you speak of?

It's an auction.... Guns go for what they go for... You get two guys who really want a cheap gun, and that is a recipe for a high sale...

I was auction manager there for years before I moved to Az. We had sold around 6,500 guns at auction during my time there....... Lots of good deals if you stick to a plan. I bought many very nice rifles at the auction.

Go here to see what was sold, and the prices realized.
Colt, Winchester, Cosmi, Westley, Richards, Remington, S&W, Browning, Francotti, Springfield, Ruger, Antique Firearms and more!

I love going to their auctions... This was the first time I walked out empty handed. No real good deals this time... everyone is was bidding high .
I was hoping not too many people heard about this auction so I can keep accumulating more guns at a good price.
