I went to The Gun Store in Las Vegas with a friend to shoot machine guns. We did their WWII package, and one of the MGs we shot was the MP-40.
All their guns were pretty janky; the Thompson looked like the receiver had been stitch-welded back together, and the Grease Gun had been rewelded in spots too. But the MP-40 was downright dangerous. On the first magazine, I fired a three round burst, paused, then tried to fire about a five round burst. When I let off the trigger the gun kept going, and dumped the entire mag... Then when the range officer tried a second mag it jammed every other round. They refused to refund us or let us shoot a different, functioning machine gun instead...
