    We need more NRA members

I think gun stores need to have a NRA member discount program so that more people join the NRA. It does make sense as it is the gun stores that will suffer if more stringent gun laws go down. What do you guys think?

I offer to pay for a $10 associate membership for anyone I know personally or their family member that wants to join the NRA, but doesn't want to put any money out themselves.

Over 30 people so far. It increases the membership #s, which is SUPER important & gets money to the organization.

If everyone that is a member purchased two associate memberships for friends at a cost of $10 x 2...

we'd at least double our membership #s for next year.

Articles written in the MSM would write, "the NRA, which represents over 10 million Americans..."

maybe increase the prices by $15

and include a "free" associate NRA membership or $10 donation to the gun group of their choice (on a specific vetted list) with purchase of each firearm

Be careful, forcing people to join NRA by increasing firearm price could backfired. Do not force people to join but persuade them to join.

Increasing prices is a crappy marketing idea but offering a discount is a good one.

You are very spot on here. No one should fool themselves, the gun grabbers in Sacramento, despite their inability to balance the state budget are actually VERY GOOD at election/political math.. that's why they are in a super majority and kicking our asses.

I guarantee that the way the gun grabbers in Sacramento look at it; 7,000,000 California gun owners and only 500,000 NRA members = political room for more gun control legislation.

Others may debate the effectiveness of the NRA from the gun owners prospective, but the NRA puts the fear of god into the anti gun forces like nothing else, the U.S. Constitution included. When talking to the media, the ONLY pro gun organization EVER mentioned by anti gun politicians whose gun control legislation just failed is the NRA, PERIOD!

But from a perception point of view, all the difference in the world. Look how many people stomp each other to death on "black friday" to buy something they spent a few months raising the price on so it suddenly looks like a deal.

I guess all the gun owners who are not members of the NRA because they dont agree 100% with the NRA will continue their protest untill all the guns are gone... and then they will all be screaming where was the NRA, completely ignorant of what that "A" in NRA stands for; "Association".

The truth is "WE ARE THE NRA" and it is only as strong as gun owners make it. Until the remaining 6,500,000 gun owners in the state figure that out, the band will play on......

They see votes. Since they only see 500,000 votes, they DO NOT CARE. They care about 7 million votes.

The question or rather a task to NRA is how to persuade the 6,500,000 gun owners in this state to join NRA? By blaming them for not joining NRA won't work. Perhaps NRA can implemented some kind policy/approach suitable with California conditions.

The NRA already has a full time lobbyist for California. The only state with one.
