IIRC, various LE agencies sent resources and manpower over there.

Take into account the population of said city / state, law enforcement / National Guard does not nearly have enough manpower.

I don't know why many people think this can be a reality, it's impossible for our own law enforcement / military to control / confiscate firearms. They would never have enough manpower or capability to do such a thing. 15% of all soldiers are combat MOS, whether they be infantry, cavalry, tankers, MPs etc. Sure there's law enforcement, army, navy, marines, yadda and so on, but the population vastly outnumbers anything. Not to mention, many servicemembers would disobey orders when it came down to hurting civilians.

Hurricane Katrina only happened because it was a single area. Gun confiscation state / nation wide is a close to impossible feat.

The question was asked back in the late 80's or early 90's to troops, basically they asked that if told to disarm U.S. citizens would they do it and would they use deadly force. Out of the control number they used, I think 30% said yes.

You can look it up, its been posted on many gun boards before. It's no joke, the .gov would use our own military to disarm us. If the question was asked now, I think that number would be closer to zero.

Its all fantasy land stuff. I work on base and conversate, I mean CONVERSATE with ICE agents, active, retired, SWAT, Fed Security, LEO and so many more agencies not to mention my entire current social circle is work friends ie LEO/Active/Ret. Vets and this type of stuff comes up in convo a lot, a lot of them are gun people and the military has no plan of action like in the OP. Basically what I got from them is they would lock down the base and hold fort, they would not roam the city, again that is what the local PD and stuff is for, even then this whole situation is such a stretch its not even worth thinking about. Only in movies does the military focus on its people and go door to door. Hell base securety has a hard enough time manning post and gate patrol let alone shake down an entire city. And do you really think Mr.Obama and the office boys are going to spend billions to pull back troops, forget about their war and order them to uphold local laws? Its a joke and FUD.


Again to the max. I'm not saying this to be a dick but I live and work EVERYDAY with these people which is why I chime into most of these Mil/LEO convos even tho I have never nor plan to be (anymore) Active or a LEO but can answer or put in to so many of these situational posts because I ask these questions to actual LEO/Mil ect. and get it from the horses mouth and honestly know a hell of a lot more than I should via Military/LEO workings and things that go on via the Federal Gov. No top secret sh** but a basic knowledge that I've gotten from way higher pay grade people just through conversation.


Again this thread is FUD and conspiracy jumbo and will NEVER happen until we enter a full on WROL situation which even then to pull this off would require so much more than the US Gov is capable of via man power and funding.
