One more question on the J-frame ?

Hello again J-frame owners. thanks for your input on last thread.
I have yet one more question, yes one more.

I can not seem to fine the answer to this question.

On J-Frame with moon clip can you safely still load and fire weapon without the moon clip ? as looks to be still supporting the case on the outer rim.

Do you know about this scenario, and is it acceptable to do, as moon clip could be lost. ( for some reason )

Just trying to get all the information I can before I pull the trigger on this.

FYI : The wife is showing interest in this format as well, prolly 642 for her, will see how that go's.

    Thanks folks... GO CG's

    S&W says go for it.
Never initiate force against another. That should be the underlying principle of your life. But should someone do violence to you, retaliate without hesitation, without reservation, without quarter, until you are sure that he will never wish to harm - or never be capable of harming - you or yours again.

I don’t use the moon clips that often. Chamfered cylinder chambers make reloading a lot easier. I load by the pair.
