Armed Robber stabbed- there's a catch

Last night a Orilley Auto Parts store in Sacramento California was robbed by a man armed with a handgun. A young store employee stabbed the robber with a knife. The gunman immediately fatally shot the employee. The robber went to an emergency room for the knife wound, and is currently in custody. The moral of the story: Don't bring a knife to a gunfight!

If your going to stab someone that has a gun, then you better make sure you disarm him. Bad move on the young mans part. Of course, if he had done nothing the end result may have been the same for him.
This year will go down in history.... Don't want to offend anybody

To add more fuel to the fire, had he lived they most likely would have fired him.....

They'll still probably find a way to not pay his family any insurance money since he violated company policy.

I was at a different O'Reilly's that isn't too far from the one that was robbed yesterday around the same time the robbery occurred. I remember thinking to myself before I left the house, if I should carry my Glock because it's only down the street and it'll be a few minutes. I carried anyway, but this is a reminder not to get lazy.

It's sad that we have to carry to run to the auto parts store these days, if we're lucky enough to get a permit. I'd never want to bring a knife to a gun fight.

In colonial times you would be fined if you were caught outside your home without either a loaded musket or a loaded pistol on your person. The dangers were different, but they were still there and just as deadly.

If you haven't seen it with your own eyes,
or heard it with your own ears,
don't make it up with your small mind,
or spread it with your big mouth.

Hats off to the kid for standing up and actually doing something. The kid had courage. If more robbers knew people would stand up like this they'd be less likely to do this kind of scummy crap.

Looks like the kid stuck the knife in the robbers eye, but he was high on something. Sounds like bath salts or meth because witnesses report the man was like a "Zombie". If only we can get 25% of our population to have CCW's and give the would be victims the tools to defend themselves. These kind of stories would end differently.

Wow, I would of thought a knife through the eye would be fatal. Kid had good aim. Rip.

If that story is true then I think the brave employee's name deserves to be mentioned.

Should have stuck it in the guy's jugular. At least it would have saved the taxpayers some money.
