    Stag shipping rant

So i order a chromed bolt for my 602 clone build from Stag last week. Got it today. This is what i found upon opening the box. I mean, i know its a bolt and probably wont get damaged while shipping, but really, not even one packing peanut or a piece of paper?!!! Least its wrapped in plastic, kinda! Disappointed

A box was over doing it. Padded envelope was all they really needed....

As long as you got the part and it was AOK then no worries.

Maybe paper packing to keep it from rattling around but I think the chance of it being damaged is very very low.

Let me see if I understand; you ordered a part, the company sent you that part in a timely manner, it arrived intact, and you're complaining?!

I can see where you're coming from, but as long as the bolt's okay, it wouldn't bother me.

think of it this way, if they spent more money on paper or foam peanuts, they would have to pass along the additional costs along to the consumer. Glad your part came in good shape and not busted.

Looks OK to me...it's a bolt, right? Bouncing around in a cardboard box shouldn't hurt it.

You will never, in your life, have a chance like this again.
If I were you, I would not pass this up. I would not let this go by...this is rare.

                      No s##t.

The packing from Brownells and Midway (and countless others) these days is just stupid... It's one thing to not add any sort of packing material and another thing to overfill an already oversized box with packing material.

It frustrates me to no end when I receive products that cost me more to ship than the product itself or could of been put into a simple padded envelope and put in the mail for the price of a stamp (or two). Absolutely absurd.

This is why shipping is so damn expensive and so many resources are wasted on garbage most of us throw away.

How is this classified as a "rant"? I fail to see any problem.

People need to think more before they post derogatory comments about gun companies. I often gloss over titles if they seem self-explanatory. Like this one, I passed over a few times before clicking on it. I had an impression after seeing the title yesterday that maybe I shouldn't order from Stag (which I had been planning to do). Now I read this and see this isn't the case at all.
