Interesting concept. Below is paste/copy of the article and the source link. Being new to long guns but long time geek/nerd I found this interesting. I think this is more realistically applicable versus the iPhone aiming thing that popped up a couple years back. If there is military interest it for sure must have real applications in the real world. Imagine a newb hitting a target at 1000 yards!!!

I much rather have a Linux operated AR than a Windows operated one. A BSOD when firing the rifle would suck.

almost a dupe,

there is a rifle, i think thats $20k that you can buy, that has a scope with an OS, and wifi so you can see what they are targeting... cant think of the name and dont feel like looking for links for it It came out last year
