People buy it, and either sell it for something else, or trash the upper and get a new one.

Colt 6920 or Sig M400, all you will ever need. Like some one else said go see Dennis at Entreprise Arms in Irwindale super nice staff and great prices. They also have DD and the other more expensive ARs if you decided you want one.

Okay fella's bear with me. I thought that Colt AR-15 is banned in CA by name and would be a Felony to possess. I just asked that question on a post I made this morning and was told that specifically by a few people here.

What am I missing? I wish someone could definitively enlighten me on this. I am moving to CA from Nevada with a Colte LE 6920. If I put a bullet button on it, and whatever else I need to put on it, is it legal to have?

Hey guys, thanks for the opinions, tips, and advice! I went with a couple coworkers to Riflegear today at lunch and walked out having begun the DROS process.
I went a little bit over my budget but that's ok! I decided on a Daniel Defense m4v7. Oh man, I'm excited. 10 days... Can't wait! Now I need some ammo...

                          no sh**

I go through about 200 rounds of .223 per week with mine, different types of ammo, never had a hiccup yet...it was my first AR15 purchase too...probably not my last though

                          so easy to maintain too

I built my first AR from an 80% lower. After everything was finished I had a great sense of accomplishment knowing I built it from the ground up. I feel more confident knowing everything about the rifle, however, if you must buy a complete AR I would highly recommend Daniel Defense. Maybe its because my first name is Daniel.

Congrats on your Daniel Defense AR 15!!! Have fun and post pics when you get it!!!

Yes. He has enough to swing one of those. Skip the $700 S+W.
