Picked up my last minute purchase today

At Turners. Had to sign a "new piece of paper" that I assume deals with the new registration law. For a second there, I thought my rifle was registered until I checked it out. Under make, model, and ser. It was all listed as "NOT RECORDED" but did have my name, address and date of purchase and pick up.

The clerk said it was new to be released to the CA doj. So I guess my rifle isn't registered in their new system, but they do have the record of my purchase. I'm not worried or bothered as that info exists somewhere already, but I wonder when rifles become banned if I'll get nasty letters or surprise visits just to make sure that the "not recorded" long arm in their new system isn't on the confiscation list.

Anyone else pick up their last minute rifles in the new year have any similar experience?

Same thing with JD machine. I was there 2 days ago to pick up some lowers, and they gave me the same paper work.

Just picked up my Mossy from Big 5, and I had the same "Piece of paper" the OP spoke of. It looks like part of the new system but since "we" bought before the deadline, all the info boxes just say "Not Recorded".

What does the new piece of paper say?

I asked for a copy of it and it looks like the DROS with an "Approved" staus stamp on the upper right corner.

Im officially a Vegas Resident, and my new purchase will be a Springfield XDS 40. I will have to fill out some registration papers as well when I do buy it

Too bad Vegas is the only city in Nevada that requires registration, but good thing is, after I register for the 1st time, any handgun purchase after that wont require a 3-day wait period and I can walk out the door with it

Did you bring a handgun with you to NV? If so, register it at the local police station and they'llgive you a blue card. From there, bring the blue card with you when you buy your XDS. You won't have to wait 3 days.
