Powder at Cow Palace Gun Show?

Were there any powder available at the last Cow Palace Gun Show? Thinking about dropping by if there are good possibility of finding some there next week.

Miwall sell powder near the end of the building, left to the entrance.

I went to the one in September or October and miwall did not have any powder. Imagine my disappointment! Just want to know that that was an anomaly and they had powder again in the last show at cow palace.

If you are looking for popular pistol powder, you will be disappointed. I have not seen Tite-group, Clay, 231, 2400, etc for quite a long while. Either that or I get there too late.

Get there early on the 1st day of the show, that's your best bet for the powder selection. Last show I got there around 11. Most of the popular powders were gone. They also did not have limits like previous times.

There were several shows lately that miwall didn't have powder. They told me it had something to do with the fire Marshall but that smelled like BS.

When I was there two shows ago, they told me San Francisco city forbid them from transporting powder across the bay bridge ...

That may be well and true but I am sure the sales dollars would more than make up for them having to use the San Mateo Bridge or just driving around the bay, if they had enough powder.

For those who are planning to buy powder at the Cow Palace gun show in 2014, here's a small report on the gun show held on June 29, 2014:

All vendors are selling powder at $30 or so. One vendor was selling at $26, while another was selling Accurate #5 for $40. One vendor was selling an 8lbs Winchester 231 for $350. (ouch!)

Still not much in terms of pistol powders, there were Unique, CFE Pistol, and Accurate No5. (The Accurate was $40/lb, might as well consider it N/A)

Plenty of rifle powders, mostly IMR products. Many people were happily walking away with their 8lb jugs. All the Reloader XX powders were there, along with Varget, and Ramshot rifle powders.

Overall, I would say that the gun show is not a good place to get powders these days. Everything I saw at the show are all the powders that were showing up online (though only for hours at a time). Online prices are often 10 dollars below prices at the gun show, so you save money by ordering 4lbs or above anyways.

A good decision. San Francisco realizes the Bay Bridge was shoddily reconstructed with suspect, low-budget, Chinese components that would fracture under the pop of a firecracker. A can of Red Dot would bring the entire span down.
