Here's an old thread about it.
People are upset because we don't want our guns registered if we can help it. It comes from a basic mistrust of government and a fear (probably justified) that they'll someday use the registration lists to confiscate firearms. -

You can count on it. There is ZERO possibility that long gun registration will not lead to confiscation. CA has done it before and they will do it again.Here's an old thread about it.
