    New CA regisration law?

OK. How will this new requirement play out when I go buy a new gun? Why are some folks so upset about it? Edicate me, please. Thanks...

Here's an old thread about it.

People are upset because we don't want our guns registered if we can help it. It comes from a basic mistrust of government and a fear (probably justified) that they'll someday use the registration lists to confiscate firearms.

You can count on it. There is ZERO possibility that long gun registration will not lead to confiscation. CA has done it before and they will do it again.

Questions about how a CA law is applied are best asked in the 'litigation and legal discussion' forum.

Read there, and you will find this is a dupe.

Frozen in 2015, it is falling out of date and I can no longer edit the content. But much of it is still good!
