You drove from Vegas to Wickenburg for Breakfast?????

When I was young, I used to drive from El Paso the Vegas with my Parents all the time, and I always loved that drive. Nothing,Burro Canyon, then of course Hoover Dam.
I think it can be confirmed that an alien xenomorph is absolutely no match for good ole' Alabama black snake!

If you're in a survival movie and the hot blond twists her ankle and can't walk, you damn well figure a way to carry her. If it's a dude, you shake his hand and say "best of luck".

I was in Puhrump, Nv taking a 4 day handgun class a while back and had to go into Wal Mart to buy clothing..., anyways, while in the store, I bumped into a local there and he was open carrying a snub nose revolver. I was very surprised, but no one seemed to care. Everybody went about their business...

You want to come along next time?
People don't like to be meddled with. We tell them what to do, what to think, don't run, don't walk. We're in their homes and in their heads and we haven't the right. We're meddlesome.

Uh, yes it is, but the discussion was about open carry. A lot of people in open carry states feel no need for a license to conceal.

It's very interesting that this topic came up because I'm moving to Vegas on the 15th and I'm also researching all their gun laws.

I was just there this Saturday looking at houses in the Green Valley area, and while I was at a Chevron filling up, I saw a guy gassing up his Ninja who had what looked like a Beretta 92 Compact with an extended magazine holstered to his right hip. He had Nevada plates on the bike, so I figure if the locals are doing it, it must be legal?

First thing I'm doin when I get there is to get my Nevada DL and then apply for a CCW

Ha, I was at my house in Green Valley this past weekend too. I feel sorry for the guy on the Ninja. I love the hot weather out there but I just don't see how you can ride in it.

I would have to agree with you 100%. I lived in AZ for quite a few years, and I OCed all the time. I was not living in a rural area but I lived in the Phoenix area (Paradise Valley and then Scottsdale). I never once had attention because of the fact I was open carrying, and I did it almost everyday. Could I CCW sure I had the license but I preferred to OC as my carry weapon of choice at the time was a full size 1911.

Can one open carry AND conceal at the same time?

OK I went this weekend, had a blast. I did not open carry and did not notice anyone else doing so. Vegas was pretty slow this weekend, kinda nice compared to all the traffic and crazies you normally catch on the strip. I didn't open carry due to lack of comfortable holster, but did take my M&P into my hotel room. Had it on the night stand, and when the housekeeper barged in I nearly rolled off my old lady to grab it! She decided to say "housekeeping" soon as the door hit the "door stop". I'm NOT used to hearing a loud SLAM at my door, especially weird since that was the last thing I was expecting! Thank God I had the "door stop" on...

They should really knock before deciding to come into somones room!
