I don't have any Calgunner neighbors, but the first thing I did notice about one neighbor was the Dan Wesson sticker on the back of his Lexus

my neighbor a few doors down works for Fish and Game and goes hunting almost weekly. The one a couple more doors down is a marine and we have had many a gun talks. Then my wife's aunt lives a couple more houses down. They all have no problems with guns. The other neighbors are a couple single woman who know we have guns if they ever need help, a friend of the kids who knows and I have gone shooting with and some old school families who have guns on their walls. The one gay couple goes shooting as well and have gun stickers on their trucks. Funny tho is I am the only one on calguns

I normally don't discuss anything that has to do with guns with anyone that knows where I live.

That being said, I live in a well established neighborhood where everyone knows everyone, and we all keep an eye out for each other. There is also only one road in/out of the neighborhood, and it has cameras from a few different angles. Several people on my street all shoot at the same range, and the one that I was talking to about reloading is a RSO at that range. Even if I didn't talk to him about guns, he would know anyway....

I am well aware of the "dangers" of talking about my hobbies, and I am cautious!

            OPSEC bro, OPSEC.

Neighbors across are very liberal, neighbor next door anti and the neighborhood gossip monger, neighbor diagonally across the street kinda questionable creepy type, neighbor directly across street to my left I honestly believe is a freakin' vampire (pasty looking, drives a BMW, and never see him in daylight).

            OPSEC bro, OPSEC.

            Did I say OPSEC yet?

Finding a good neighborhood like that seems like it would difficult in California. Awesome neighborhood though.

If guns ever come up in discussion I always say guns r bad. If anyone around me is close to me they will usually start laughing due to the fact I have 20 guns and thousands of rounds of ammo lol

I'm shocked after reading my reply.

Growing up in the seventies, nobody who I knew, including school teachers, ever gave a second thought to openly discussing firearms, any type of firearm.

Drug addiction, homosexuality, or being on public assistance were the things people were ashamed or afraid to discuss or admit to openly.

                  Things sure have changed.

Yeah, I have several neighbors that I talk guns with and occasionally go shooting with. (None of them are Calgunners though, AFAIK.)

I never brought it up first (well, except for the NRA sticker on my truck), but once the subject is broached I never hide who I am or what I'm about.

OPSEC is for people who still aren't sure of who they really are yet...

Ours is a good neighborhood and I'm glad I know who the gunnies are. We've even had some initial conversations and brainstorming about how we'd defend the neighborhood if **** got real crazy.

All joking aside, adding to the anti fuel (brain washing) NOT COOL.
But I would agree thats a great way to find out real quickly who is a gun owner, cause what gun owner WOULDN'T laugh?

That was kinda what I was saying to Virus55, is that we as gun owners should bring that back. CG "are" the "teachers".

But on the other hand don't want people to know....

But if everybody knew, then more people would own them?

All this thinking is hurting my brain.

EDIT: Forgot about the OP, I made my neighbor join a CG's after finding out he was a gun owner does that count?.
