Redding gun range

I will be going up to Redding this weekend and I was thinking of doing some LR shooting. Any calgunner up there know how long the range is at the local ranges?

Whats the longest range on paper. I need to test bullet drop up to 200-800 yards.

Bring your own target stand and you can do anything from 25-630 yards at Hat Creek.

I think they are open to guests on Sunday, check their website. Hat Creek Rifle and Pistol Club

How long of a drive is it to hat creek from redding?

Redding to hat creek is about an hour each way, and you get a nice look at the wind farm as you go over hatchet mountain.

I just checked, the range is closed till the first of the year. I wonder if anybody can just go there and shoot? Do I have to be with a member? Is it just land anyone can shoot on? Is there a check in station?

No scheduled events just means no formal matches. Hat Creek is not closed.
Hat Creek is a membership club, locked gate with members having the combo.
