Need proof of residency

hmm, so registering to vote works too? has anyone tried this? I registered to vote when i was 18 (now im 21). I dont remember getting the card but maybe if i re-register they will send the card? this will be my first firearm purchase and i want to make sure i do everything legit.

If you are paying for the car, you should have a statement from them with your address on it. Or one of your other bills might work as well. Or, as the first line says, a recent DROS form will work. Buy a long gun first, keep your copy of the DROS, and then get your handgun using it as your proof. It is the perfect excuse to buy 2 guns!

Or, since you are 21, apply for your C&R FFL. It is cheap, simple, and I have used that as my proof of residency for the past several years. It won't get you the gun any sooner in most cases, but it does count as far as I have seen.

Fat, you're 21+ and still live with your mom who's paying the bills? And you're looking to buy a gun? You know you'll need ammo, lots of it right?

Time to grow up son. Get a job (or a better paying job), find a place of your own...OUTSIDE OF MOMMY and be a man.

Sorry for the angst, but dude you need to be on your own. Owning firearms is a responsibility. If you were able to be on your own, you wouldn't have the problem of obtaining a bill with your info to buy a gun.

My advice is save up, pick up some good room mates, to get a place of your own and bring all the honeys over to check out your "gun".

why dont you just get the car into your name? or at least add your name to it ?
