Back in May 2011 my husband had 3 of his guns confiscated by our local PD due to a domestic dispute at our home. No charges were filed against him and everything was dismissed. He recieved a letter from the local PD about a month later stating he was able to pick up his firearms. When he went to pick them up with the letter stating he was able to have them returned the PD refused to give them back stating he needed more documents. We have tried contacting the D.A. to no avail as well as the DOJ. Two years later we are still trying to get his fire arms returned and are concerned that they have either been destroyed or sold at this point. However we never recieved anything stating that was going to happen at any point in this time. My question is, am I, his spouse, able to file to get them returned even if the guns are not registered in my name but I am married to him and what do we need to do to finally get them returned? Any help and advice is appreciated. Thank you!

you may want to contact the NRA attorney for your area for advice. If your a NRA member some services are free.Been gone too long. It's been 15 to 20 years since i had to shelf my guns. Those early years sucked.
I really miss the good old Pomona Gun Shows.
