Ammo cans vs keeping in box

How many of you keep ammo I'm bulk in boxes vs transfer to ammo cans?

I feel especially handgun ammo like. 9mm etc can take up a lot of room with all the boxes if not in bulk packs. Any pros / cons either way?

Con's I would think if you ever want to resell the ammo that might be a problem, i have no idea though, i've never sold ammo

        ammo cans

I put the boxed ammo in the newer sealed ammo cans. Stores better and I can pull boxes out as I need them

Ammo cans, though I keep them in the box usually(except reloads, for obvious reasons, those are bagged and tagged with the caliber, type and weight of bullet, type and charge of powder, date I made them and how many times they have been loaded).

            Resell ammo
            Does not compute!

I just store ammo boxes in the ammo cans. If I run out of ammo cans I buy more.

Ammo cans are durable, waterproof, and look cool.

Boxes meet none of that criteria.

Range ammo in the can. HD ammo in the box.

Ammo cans. I place the boxes right in the can, sorted by caliber. I keep two cans empty to carry my range ammo.

I have a bunch of ammo cans.
Ive always kept loose 7.62x39 and 7.62x54r in 30 cal cans.
Only recently did i put odd boxes of ammo into a .50 cal can.
I was tired of seeing the same boxes of ammo sitting in the safe over and over.
Fortunately it all fit into two cans!
I transport ammo to the range in a range bag...it fits fresh ammo and brass in separate compartments.

Hmm. Good thoughts, I'm still torn over the space savings by taking them out of boxes to put in can. I use the cans currently for range transportation. Putting boxes in cans makes sense, but I feel like it doesn't properly utilize the space

I keep most ammo in the can. I keep expensive or "special" ammo in the box. And magz are full.

Yup. That's what I do. Have over 35 ammo cans. Most ammo is still in factory boxes inside the ammo cans. You end up having to buy more ammo cans this way but it's nice to have everything stored and labeled.

All 35 plus ammo cans are in a job box that is lockable.
