Perris range

Anyone have any current info on this range that was in the press enterprise earlier this year? I don't see anything after this article. There's a blog about it also with pictures of the old range.

I talked to the owner in the summer time and he said it would bee open by December. He needed to do a lot of work at that time,and I had a feeling it would not be finished. Permits being the main part. It is where the old Perris PD range is.

Their calendar says they opened December 1??? The site lacks real info, may require a phone call. They are taking applications for membership, but at 300 a year...kinda steep if you ask me. Most places are 100 to 150 a year.

Yeah, that date has been there since August. If I were to take a guess, I would say it would be open in the summer. I miss the Rockpile and it's 150 dollar membership.

Wow $300 is pretty high. I'm really missing the rockpile more and more every day.

Yeah, that place was cool, too bad for Bill. This new place is supposed to have the same setup where you get a key and come and go as you please.

That is cool. It seems small though which is why I'm guessing only one person can be shooting at a time. I guess I need to just get used to knowing there will never be the freedom that we had at the rockpile.

If you are local, I can pm you coordinates and you can scope it out. The pistol part has several lanes. There is supposedly going to be a rifle range too, but I don't see it. There is a service road that you can take to it now and that is how I found it. I work for time warner, and if you live off of HWY 74 I have probably been to your house. I am always cruising around on the side roads in the best off road vehicle Ford has ever produced. The E250 2wd.

I live in the woodcrest area near van buren so not too far. I found it on google maps and was going to drive over and check it out.

Same here. He saw me another time with my S&W model 57 and then proceeded to talk to me about how it was the best police cartridge ever.

It looks like there was a delay with plans and the owner is shooting for the beginning of February. I am still some what skeptical, because of the amount of work that is done, so in my mind I am still thinking Summer time. If I am wrong, even better.
