I was just there a couple weeks ago with my OLL AR. My friend had an OLL AR as well as a registered AR. We where there all day until they kicked out us out hanging around at the benches well after closing time. No problems at all.

OLLs are cool at RRGC. The club hosted the Bay Area Rifle Championship in April and OLLs took a number of top spots.

I am pretty sure all the Rod and gun clubs are all OLL friendly, Concord/Baypoint, Richmond, Pleasanton.

The only ammo requirement at Richmond is no LEAD SHOT on the Trap Field... shame on me for being a member and not knowing where the he// the Trap or Skeet range is.

I don't have an OLL, but I have several registered AWs and even before I was a member there, never once had an issue.

example; ONE TIME my M17 went full auto... a couple of shooters wandered over and we sussed it out as a broken firing pin spring. Wandered over to the r.o. to see if there was a problem... "nope... just load one or two at a time."

LOL, indeed - they are definitely OLL friendly. I just meant it was a nice place to shoot and they allow most (or all) types of ammo...as the OP said he needed a new range. It's a nice drive out to Chabot too - I like it out there.

And don't forget, you shoot for free at Chabot if you bring a 2007 or 2008 receipt for a new firearm purchase. I'll be shooting free there for the next few times I go

Yeah, do it in Richmond. In fact, it was a gentleman shooting an OLL at RRGC that steered me to Calguns and life ain't been the same since.

it was surreal when I was shooting there in early 06 when a bunch of people showed up with ARs and Curtis just went, "clear the chamber for cease fire, please" and proceeded to yell at me for not locking my pistol's slide back.
