Buying before 1/1/14 registration? Remember this!

I know a lot of us are buying long guns before the 1/1/14 registration starts up, but I just learned that buying 2 or more center fire rifles with detachable mags within 5 days gets you reported to the ATF. Those of us wanting to stay "off the list" should pay attention.

These bordering states (i.e., edit that to say: "mainly California") and possibly the Obama mouthpiecers want to make this a hot issue and use it as a weak attempt to rouse and goad gun enthusiasts.

So what? If you're worried, just buy stripped receivers. Since they are not "rifles," they don't get reported. BTW, IIRC, only SEMI-AUTO centerfire rifles with detachable magazines qualify.

I know many people in the border states have bought more than two rifles that get you on the supposed ATF radar. Do we know of anybody who has been contacted, questioned, or otherwise harassed after making a multi-gun purchase?

Not on a federal level!!!!! Federally, there is no clear definition of what is fixed and what isn't when it comes to mags.

It's not ALL long guns.
This was from the works of BO and Eric "WithHolder" when the Fast & Furious scandal first became exposed.
CA, AZ, NM and TX all got the shaft.

Also, I wonder how many people know that the reporting of 2 or more handguns in a 5 day period goes all the way back to the Federal GCA of 68'.
Reporting has already been happening Nation wide for 46 years.

The problem is they shop that list around foreign countries which is a privacy issue. At least this was the argument against it I remember from when it was started.
