East Bay. Which is in the Northern half of the state, sure, but California has about a dozen distinct regions. It seem absurd to lump, say, Chico and McCloud in the same category as Milpitas and Half Moon Bay. And is Fresno considered Northern? What of Bakersfield? Bishop?

Sorry guys for not including a central CA in the poll. I always considered CA to be a north and south state. I could alter my poll to include a central CA but it would skew the poll for those who have already voted.

I think it is hilarious that Bay Area folks think they are in Northern California. Sacramento is the cutoff point. Anything below that is Central CA until you hit Button Willow, which is where Southern CA starts. From there I am not quite sure wher Mexico starts, but I am pretty sure it is right around Simi Valley.

I know five-score guys with loaded assault rifles that will say with their last breath if need be, that San Diego is not part of Mexico. Nice try though. And the Bay Area is definitely Nor Cal.

To us the SoCal border is the Grapevine inland and Gaviota Pass along the coast. NorCal is the bottom of SF bay to Stockton.
