Should I register?

I need some help. I am getting ready to apply for my CCW and as I understand it, I need a hand gun in my name which I do not have. The one I own was bought for me by my ex wife in her name in 1994, did not think anything of it back then. I am good for DROS. It also is not on the current approved for Ca list. I have the DOJ ownership paperwork filled out and ready mail. Anyone forsee any problems for me doing this? Thanks

What county? I added a gun to my permit that wasn't in my name at the time. And I have read countless stories of husbands and wifes sharing guns on their permits.

I have a firearm on my CCW that isn't registered and my Sheriff is ok with it.

That could be great news, I live in San Bernardino county. Would rather not register if possible.
