Whats this weekend look like? Is there room for me and a buddy to stop by? We both have some issues with our builds ( complete) ... mainly... they are flat builds, and they suck .
I still haven't test fired mine yet... I 95% sure it'll work, but the 5% scares me

First off, thanks for working on my three recievers Drickel. Now, something to share it with you guys, after bending one of Drickels bullet button flat, I put my old brain to work and came up with a new simple design made from scrap sheet metal.
After the SJ Gun show I might swing by your place in the afternoon to show the finished product. Very simple making it, the only hard part is putting it in as you have to remove the mag release pin, and putting back that spring is You gotta think like McGyver to put it back in.

Damn, Thanks for the invite. I am on baby duty tomorrow so cant make it out there afterall. If you do this again, Id like to come though. I have an AK with a VERY "sticky" action, I pull bolt back ( tought) and release, but hangs up at about the hammer. I have to slam it to pop the bolt forward . I will definately need someone who knows what the hell they are doing do help me fix it.

My buddy Pilejay has one that is just SCARY. Receiver is twisted, bent, rail popped a weld, crooked center support, etc... I teased that he was building an afghan AK so just to spite me... he went and did some of the hammering with a rock! He needs help as well.

I have a couple of romy kits that I probably wont get around to building.

I'd tell him to start over. Flats, rivets and center supports are cheap. If it's forked that bad, just start over, but this time pay attention when using the press to do the C.S. rivet as not to crush the C.S. or twist the receiver.

Why even bother with the press on the center support . . . four taps with the hammer and it's done.

I've seen him do it too, but I'm just a desk jockey. I use the hammer only for corrections to errors.

It's almost ready . . . just need to attach the trigger guard and install the FCG.
Looks great! I need to catch up.

I can't think of a better all around SHTF gun - An AK that uses many commonly available AK parts, but in .223 and using AR magazines.

                                Great job Drickel,

That S12 looks awesome. I'm dying for mine to come in now.

I think it's time to harass the middle man again.
