went to wall mart and bought some cleaning supplies. got home and the gun solvent was tampered with. the seal was torn open and the lid was just on good enough to fool me into thinking it was secured properly. well it leaked all over the inside of the plastic bag and soaked the rear fiber and cloth pad of my almost new car. it is a hatch back so the fumes are inside the drivers compartment. I am positive this was no accident. been cleaning for 4 days and the fumes will not go away no matter what i do. this is not wall marts fault it was tampered with. their is no reason to open gun cleaning solvent and peal open the seal at a store.

Probably someone sniffing it trying to get high. Some people will sniff just about anything in attempt to get high.Let us not pray to be sheltered from dangers but to be fearless when facing them. - Rabindranath Tagore

Some tire kicker was in walmart. maybe a punk 8 year old pretending he was a junky. Takes the solvent can, opens the lid, breaks the seal halfway, sniffs, then screws the lid back on and walks away. There are 100 reasons why some retarded person would randomly break the seal and sniff or even take some. Maybe he wanted to wipe off some sharpie on another product and spit wasn't doing it.
Either way (or any way as I see it) it was not malice or a prank, but luck (bad luck).
As for leaking, its a solvent. It's gonna leak. Take ANY gun solvent you have and remove the seal, screw the lid tightly on, then store upside down for awhile. Doesn't take long to make a terrible mess. The bottom of my gun chemical box would be cold blued right now if it were a metal box!
So that cap wasn't barely on, it was on. Just the lack of seal prevented no spill.
Simple accident. You accidentally bought a solvent can that someone else tampered with for some unrelated and retarded purpose days ago.Comment

Never had this happen with solvent, but have had it happen at the grocery store. Opened vitamins, peanut butter, jam/jelly, etc. In almost all cases, a scoop was removed and the item replaced on the shelf.
That is why I check that the seal is intact on all items I purchase (that have seals), and the the lid is securely tightened on those that don't.
Some people are a-holes!Sorry, not sorry.

Maybe a return, or someone opened it in the store to see if it smelled like the solvent "so and so" used, but couldn't remember the brand?Comment
