Jd machine charging transfer fee?

Called around 10am they said it will be $50 plus $25 for dross for a lower i purchased frome P.S.A.

This sucks because the only reason i got the lower was the price saving (it was $57.00 shipped)

Anyone else get this?

Yup. Normal. That's actually a pretty decent transfer fee. I have seen upwards of $125 for a transfer fee.

Especially for a company that specializes in making lowers that seems pretty low for a transfer fee Cheapest I've seen for a transfer fee for a lower is $20 + $25 DROS.

Its still a bs fee that 1-they dont have to charge and 2-it takes 10 seconds to log a gun in. In the future dont have something shipped to a place that survives of off making then selling the exact same product.

Pretty sure Aero Precision makes them for PSA.

On top of that, Aero lowers are available at Parallax for cheap.

If you take a picture of the underside of the lower I can tell you if it’s an Aero lower.

I understand the company making money and i know $50.00 is fair price.

The thing is the old j.d. did not belive in charging for competitors lowers. Witch is pretty cool. But apperantly that idea is gone now. If i had known before hand i would have sent it somewhere closer or just purchased one directly.

I am in no way trying to bash j.d. quality or service of any kind. I am just trying to relay the message that J.D. Machine does in fact charge a transfer fee now.

Im thinking of putting half down on a .308 lower from them. Its like a 2 month lead time if im not mistaken though.

Might just get the upper frome them since ille be there.

I have Aero, JD, Stag, and Mega... they all work just fine.

Aero: On the underside above where the web of your thumb would be its got a raised area. None of my other lowers have that.

Out of the 4, the Mega is the nicest.

They told me 25 for a transfer. Sounds like they were trying to encourage you to buy one of there lowers??? Unless they lied to me the phone. Then im doing a rifle transfer
