US ARMY 9mm recall

As a Marine unit safety rep I felt I should pass on this bit of info, the Army just issued a warning that several lots of ammo had bad crimps that partially dimpled the primers. This was discovered when a box of 9mm was dropped causing several damaged rounds to go off. No one was injured, but on inspection, several rounds were discovered with dimpled primers!
Please check your ammo before handling, and return, or properly dispose of any bad rounds. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO USE KINETIC BULLET PULLERS TO SALVAGE DAMAGED ROUNDS! They are unstable and may go off in the puller.

It's a billet a Marine hold.
Each unit (organized group within the military branch) will assign a Marine to educate/train the unit on risk assement, mishap prevention, safety equipment, etc.

It's across about 10 lots with us so far, probably more now. But it's Federal bulk of that helps. For OpSEC reasons I can't just pass out lot#, it's considered FOUO.

So...if the lot #'s are FOUO, chances are these aren't out in general public, and if they are, are probably stolen....just saying.

Possibly, but if a mass production die is wonky for one lot, what's to keep it from being off for another one too?
