    Colt 6920 vs. PWS 10.5

    Hello,

I have a question that i want your opinions please if you could.

I have a Colt 6920 upper, with a todd jarret lightweight comp. handguard.

There is a old model PWS 10.5" piston driven system for sale. I heard these were some of the better ones. without the adjustable gas pressure thing for surpressors.

My question is, is it worth selling the colt upper and putting on the PWS. Which is a better overall upper? I know colt is colt. but PWS makes a great product. my friend has the little pws 7.5 and he loves it. super smooth he says.

if i get the pws, would it be a much better purchase, investment, I paid like $700 for the colt with the new handguard along with the install. This guy has his pws for $850, but trying to get it down to $800.

    What is your guy's opinions

    thanks

I'm assuming you've got a pistol lower that you are going to put this on.

That being said. PWS makes a dang fine gun. I have two of the newer mod 1s and have zero complaints.

That would be purely up to you and wanting one brand over another, since this doesn't seem like youre comparing equal items.

Does your Colt give you issues? Do you need a piston setup?

IMO, Keep the Colt full size upper, build a pistol when you can. It would be lame to have to pin a 5.5" muzzle device to the PWS to make it legal on your rifle lower, and it would be inconvenient to have only a pistol

No issues or anything, just want to know if it would be worth it. last longer, better product thats no in production anymore vs the colt thats always coming out.

I think the newer mod 1s are actually a better product.

                  Question

Moving to Cali from Nevada so please bear with me for a second. I thought the Colt LE 6920 was a banned rifle by name "Colt" according to the DOJ list of assault weapons.

I have that rifle now. How is the ones you are speaking of not illegal? I need to find out how to make mine legal somehow. ANY info would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.

Colt makes/sells CA legal versions of the LE6920.
The receivers are marked "M4 Carbine", which makes it an off-list receiver.

So, what is marked on the lower receiver of your Colt LE6920?
