    CZ 75b 16 rnd magazine

I recently purchased a CZ 75B 9mm Matte Stainless (model 91128) pistol..I did an SSE for it at Placer Tactical..the out of state dealer included two 16 round mag kits..I would like to convert them to CA legal 10 round mags..I am looking at using rivets to modify the mag..any comments suggestions

Rivets don't work well on handgun mags. Youre probably going to want to block them.

Im reading in the forum that rivets are not legal because they can be removed by drilling out the rivet while the magazine is still a magazine..magblocks cannot be removed without taking the magazine apart..now the magazine is not functional.
Unfortunately MAGBLOCK only makes a 10/19 round magblock..wondering if I could file it down?

I bought XDM mag blocks for 10/13 mags. They fit as blockers to convert 16 round mags to 10 mags.

            Let me link you:

I actually bought a 10/19, 10/16, and 10/13 block just to test which size fit the best in a 16/17 round mec-gar cz mag. It turned out that 10/13 blocks fit the best in the 16/17 round mags to limit them to 10 rounds.

Well first, you didn't assemble it into an 11 round magazine, you clearly just checked how many rounds it can hold with the follower and blocks in place without the floorplate on.

Second, add more material to take up more space. It's not rocket science.

                  Turn yourself in ya criminal!

Of course take the mags apart.

I'd contact the manufacturer, they might know of a solution.

Just buy a larger size from Mag Blocks. The funny thing is that I have them in my 17 round mec-gar mags, and it converts it to 10.

I appreciate your feedback..I added two 1" pieces of popsicle stick and it did the trick. Now my only question is, nothing will be glued together and the popsicle stick pieces will simply be slid under the block before I slide the floorplate on..will this be a legal CA magazine?

Wow... Ok. Please don't take this the wrong way, but you need to take a breath. What he was suggesting was that you not admit to manufacturing a high capacity magazine on an online forum. We all have to test things when we're blocking mags, some things work and some things don't. He was just trying to explain how to stay out of trouble.

the floor plate was taped to bottom of magazine temporarily holding it in place, it was not actually assembled into a working magazine..I should have been more clear.

Right, I wasn't saying you had assembled a mag, I was clarifying for you that you didn't
