          Hickok45 has explained why he does that. Since he is actively shooting on his range and talking at the same time, it's his assurance that the gun is absolutely clear at all times when he is handling it as his table. I've never once seen him pull a trigger on anything that wasn't pointed downrange. Nothing unsafe about that in my eyes. Considering he talks, shoots, loads magazines, etc, for sometimes 40 minutes straight without cutting, that's his way of being safe.
