    In the future

Are all semi auto manufactures, going to make there guns with magazine disconect, so the extremely large gun owning population of California, can buy these guns, or are we forever, having to suffer.

    ...?

They'll have to do more than a mag disconnect...they need a loaded chamber indicator that passes DOJ muster (nobody has managed that one yet) and after 2010 they'll need to microstamp the cartridges (likewise).

In addition, in the future most of all the gun manufacturers will be fed up with the silly CA gun laws and stop selling guns in CA in protest of all the ineffective, cost increasing laws they have to put up with just to make a sale in Kalifornina.

Or, more likely, the hard-to-defend "safe gun" list requirement will disappear.

Consider, post Heller, we now have Equal Protection (14th A) grounds in court to overturn the LEO exemption to SB15, the Safe Gun Law. The courts specifically upheld an earlier challenge because it called the 2A a "collective" or militia right. That view has been rejected by SCOTUS so the CA court must review that decision. With 2A intact as an individual right, that leaves the law facing the 14th A challenge.

That law only passed with the support of LE, bought and paid for with the exemption that was added to that law. With the exemption gone, how long until LE finds that it can't get what it wants? CA lawmakers, in their infinite wisdom, got carried away and banned everything LE and CA taxpayers want.

Why would they bother? So long as they keep paying the fee, everything on the Roster now gets to stay there. We can buy those, until the Roster goes away.

Frozen in 2015, it is falling out of date and I can no longer edit the content. But much of it is still good!

Even though there are great guns already on the list, new guns, more advanced designs, will be unavailable.

That said, I hope manufacturers do NOT put magazine disconnects on their new handguns, as they are not practical and NOT a safety feature.

Hopefully we will do away with the safe list instead.
