how much would you pay to shoot a machine gun localy?

I've been dreaming about machine guns lately. Lets say 300 rounds through something cool like a G36, UZI or a MP5 and a 1/2 hour of instruction?

I think a $1 per round is about typical for standard rifle and pistol cartridges.
Check back later for a witty comment.

          $100-$150.

The only guns you could get here are posties, and that's because the ONLY way you're gonna get any here is if you have an SOT.

Most machine guns that are post-'86 cost soooooooo much less than the pre-'86's, because the number of guns in the wild is not capped.

          An MP5? Maybe $800.

          UZI? $500.

          G36? A grand or two.

Ammo ($40) is your only real cost, and after a few dozen people, you've paid off the gun.

Then you get $60 or more of profit each and every time, less if we're talking about lower ammo prices.

Close to me would be a little less than 300.00, they want you to buy their ammo, targets and an initial range membership. So second time is cheaper. Not bad really, 300 rounds is a good bit of ammo and you dont have to clean the gun afterwords.
and that would be for full auto sub guns.

I'm not sure what you are smoking but post UZIs go from $1500-$300, try and find a G36 for under 2 grand that doesn't have a million round through it.

$60 is not profit. you need a building, insurance, labor costs, utilities, backstop damage. oh yea, and licensure. Basicly you would be working for free.

Unless you're, oh, I don't know, GOING to a range, just bringing your guns and renting them out there on the line.
Franklin Armory does that, works good for them.
To have an SOT you need to have an FFL anyway, so you'd be selling guns and hat would be paying for your insurance.

Reality is, you could be making a nice profit if you had an 01/SOT or an 07/SOT and make appointments to have a day at a range to rent the guns out.

If you want your own building, with your own range... That's a whole other ball game.

Yea, I am thinking, and I don't even know if there is any legal way possible in California, The kind of deal they have in Vegas. I don't think it would be worth the time and effort for all the lisunsure and everything else if you were not going to make a fair amount of money doing it.

You made the mistake of going to The Gun Store. That place is a tourist trap when it comes to rentals. There's other places with much cheaper rates.
