I'm thinking about another AR build..762x39..Ammo is cheap & the round can do damage. But..I have some reservations that maybe some of you can help me get over. Most 762x39 rounds are steel cased ammo. My other 3 AR's absolutley HATE steel cased ammo. The coating on the case melts and once it cools down, the case sometimes has trouble ejecting..a couple of times ,I have had to pound them out with a cleaning rod. So I don't use steel ammo on my 556 AR"s . Do the 762x39 uppers have the same issues? Or is that something that I shouldn't worry about? Any ideas?
