Gun talk in other non-gun forums

Ever run across random gun talk in other non-gun forums? I do. I found this one through a Google search by chance.

    http://www.remo.com/forum/post/view?bid=7&id=37482&sty=1&tpg=1&age=0

Check it out.. the guy shot someone in the leg twice with 12 gauge slugs in self defense. Interestingly, there are no anti-gun comments in this thread which is hosted by a drum forum for musicians.

Some of the stories seem a little far fetched, like the guy who's only shot a "1890 Browning 50 or something caliber and hit a 1 foot target 1,000 yards away" or something like that, or the guy who shot the intruder trying to take his car with his .270 WIN, he says the guy was holding him at gun point with a .357 Mag when he drops it and runns out the door, so the home owner goes upstairs to get the rifle and runns after the intruder who than shoots at the home owner from the home owners car, i thought he dropped his gun and ran away, the threat was over when the perp. left the house but the home owner said he wasn't arrested, too many things missing from this story, or it was made up.

One of my motorcycle boards has a whole thread dedicated to firearms. I think it has over 2k replys by now.

Ratters, I'm 'slomustang' over on BARF.

Actually, it was members on BARF who told me to come over here for some questions I had about the Glock 34.

BARF = Bay Area Rider's Foundation?

Or BARF = the stuff your kids leave behind on the back seat of your new car/SUV/minivan?

I think it's great that there are gun discussions in other non-gun forums - it shows that people who like guns and who go shooting are normal folks who have other normal interests. We're everywhere...
