    What to get next thread

Budget is $300 i have all the guns i want except for a dedicated 22lr and i sold my shotgun but thinking of grabbing another. I almost pulled the trigger on a new stock but figured id give it some thought even though i will be definately getting one, just not sure if i should make it this weeks purchase or wait.

Should i upgrade the flimsy stock on my savage 10 since i mainly use a bipod on it and im pretty sure my free floated barrel is negated when hooked to a bipod as i think it flexes enough to touch the barrel.

Buy a dedicated 22lr. Even though i just recently traded for a 22lr conversion for my ar15.

buy a shotgun, which would get the least amount of use as i hunt a lot but typically for things my other guns would be better apt at and the occasional turkey shoot and ducks, etc.

    Or get more ammo.

The ruger 10/22 is the exact model ive been looking at. It seems to have a lot of aftermarket support. Ive also been borrowing my friends' nephews 10/22 and thats pretty much whats prompted me to get into 22lr. Its light weight and insane accuracy is awesome.

I just bought a 10/22 for my son and we love shooting it but its no where near as fun as the Henry H001..the Henry is up around the 300 mark but a much better gun, IMO...

Purchase ammo and rifle. Then purchase more ammo and rifle until you have no room in your safe.

Ive definately caught a 22lr bug. It really is so much fun. Debating on seeing if his mom will let me buy his 10/22 since its used and i should be able to get a good deal on it.

I will look into the henry h001 and i also ran across a marlin 795 i believe it was in the store just now. It was only $150ish.

Unfortunately no 22lr packs so ill probably just order those online.

Edit: just googled the henry, im glad you brought it up as ive also been wanting a lever action in something small and not in 45LC

The Marlin 795 has a huge following here on CGN.

I know the Henry cost a little more but I can tell you that its well worth it. There's nothing like dropping 20+ rounds of shorts down the mag tube and letting them fly. I think it holds 23 short rounds.

You have all the guns you want? I must see your collection.

If you decide to go the shotgun route. What about a home defense shotgun and not a hunting one. By that I mean shorter length and more capacity.

                        Unless you have one already.

I agree. I also have both, and my son and I enjoy shooting the Henry more. The lever action is so smooth!
